Hannah Buxton
Middle School Guide
Hannah received her degree in secondary education with a major in English and a minor in library science from Louisiana Tech University in 2010. As she learned about Montessori education, she knew it was the option she wanted for her own children. Hannah fell in love with the method and philosophy—the holistic approach resonated with her deeply. She has been working in a Montessori middle school environment as a support guide in literature and history since 2018. Hannah loves leading this age group in Socratic seminars and encouraging them to practice empathy and vulnerability. She believes that each child has the potential to make a positive impact as a global citizen and strives to lead the students towards expressing their own voice as writers and individuals. In her free time Hannah loves traveling, reading and writing, laughing, good food and good conversation, music, hot cups of coffee, and leisurely walks in the woods. Her favorite Montessori quote is “Whoever touches the life of a child, touches the most sensitive part of a whole which has roots in the most distant past and climbs toward the infinite future.”
