Wendy has taught in a Montessori classroom for nearly twenty years, the last twelve as an upper elementary guide. She earned her master’s degrees in English and art from Louisiana Tech University. She received her Secondary I, Elementary I & II certifications from Houston Montessori Center. Wendy enjoys reading, painting, being outdoors, and learning about everything. Her truly favorite place to be is in the classroom (inside or out) nurturing life-long learners by setting up the shelves with cool books, bugs, bones, leaves, experiments, electronics, computer programing, and anything the kids find interesting. She loves that Montessori education is an education for the whole child—a way of not only learning about the world, but also learning how to find their place in it.
